People search by state.

Public records and people search for all 50 states. Pick a state or search a name directly.

All 50 states

Population figures are context for how common a name is likely to be in that state — not a count of anything we hold.

Why the state matters

Information availability varies by state, locality and publisher. Starting with the right state adds useful location context and helps keep namesakes separate.

How to use the state directory safely

State pages provide independent references for further verification. Availability still varies by location and record type, so a missing result is not proof that no record exists.

If you know a city, include it with the full name. City and state together are more useful for separating namesakes than either field alone, especially when professional or property information uses a local filing system.

If you do not know the state, start with the full name and compare location fields before choosing a candidate. A shared name by itself is not an identity match.

Consequential details should be verified independently or with the person. Recordwell organizes returned information; it does not turn an incomplete search into an official clearance or consumer report.

Public records are organized state by state — court systems, property filings, and licensing boards all live at the state level. Pick a state below, or just search a name above and filter later.

Recordwell is not a Consumer Reporting Agency. Reports may not be used for employment, tenancy, credit, insurance or another FCRA-covered decision.

Common questions

What is Recordwell?

Recordwell is a people-search tool. Enter a name, email, phone or username and it organizes the returned records and online footprint into one clear report — in minutes instead of hours of manual searching.

Why Recordwell?

A fuller picture of someone is rarely on page one of a search engine — relevant details can be scattered across profiles, web pages, news and exposure data. Recordwell compares returned information and organizes it into a single, plain-language report.

What makes Recordwell different?

We separate confirmed records from other people who share the name and never present a guess as a match. Honest by design — no invented reviews, no dark patterns.

What information will I get in my report?

A structured identity summary, career and interests, online presence, what a web search reveals, data-exposure flags, and clear match confidence. We do not profile personality or character: the report presents returned facts and leaves the conclusion to you.

What does Recordwell cost? Is there a trial?

A full report on someone else needs a plan; the price and renewal terms are shown on the checkout page before any charge, and cancelling stops the renewal. There is no trial that quietly converts. Checking yourself and removing your own data stay free.

Can I use this for hiring or tenant screening?

No. Recordwell is not a Consumer Reporting Agency and reports may not be used for FCRA-covered decisions like employment, tenancy, or credit.

Can I remove my own information?

Yes — use our opt-out / data-removal page, or search yourself and follow the removal checklist.

Is Recordwell an identity theft protection service?

No. We do not monitor credit files, scan the dark web, or restore stolen identities. Recordwell organizes information that is already available to the user.

What does Recordwell do that a manual search does not?

Recordwell matches returned records to a person, separates namesakes, checks exposure and sanctions indicators, and produces a plain-language summary. Doing that manually can take hours; Recordwell completes the checks together and keeps the result readable.

Which countries does Recordwell cover?

The United States is our primary market and coverage is strongest there. Searches by name work elsewhere too, but the depth of returned information varies by country.

How does billing work?

A full report requires a paid monthly plan. The price, renewal terms and cancellation control are shown before payment, the card is entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout rather than on Recordwell, and the charge appears as RECORDWELL.AI. Checking yourself and removing your own data stay free.
