Browse 100 high-frequency last names already represented in Recordwell's directory, ordered by their national rank in the U.S. Census Bureau's 2020 table. Each page shows the published rank, aggregate count, rate per 100,000, and a direct comparison with the 2010 table. Choose a surname below or enter a full name above.
The counts are historical Census aggregates, not live totals and not lists of identifiable people. A surname can be useful for starting a search, but a full name plus a known city or state is far more reliable for separating people who share a last name.
Methodology: the directory uses the Census Bureau's 2020 top-1,000 last-name table and 2020 report. Historical comparisons use the 2010 surname table. Demographic columns are deliberately not republished on these people-search pages.

What information will I get in my report?

What does Recordwell cost? Is there a trial?
A full report on someone else needs a plan; the price and renewal terms are shown on the checkout page before any charge, and cancelling stops the renewal. There is no trial that quietly converts. Checking yourself and removing your own data stay free.
Can I use this for hiring or tenant screening?
No. Recordwell is not a Consumer Reporting Agency and reports may not be used for FCRA-covered decisions like employment, tenancy, or credit.
Can I remove my own information?

Is Recordwell an identity theft protection service?
No. We do not monitor credit files, scan the dark web, or restore stolen identities. Recordwell organizes information that is already available to the user.
What does Recordwell do that a manual search does not?
Recordwell matches returned records to a person, separates namesakes, checks exposure and sanctions indicators, and produces a plain-language summary. Doing that manually can take hours; Recordwell completes the checks together and keeps the result readable.
Which countries does Recordwell cover?
The United States is our primary market and coverage is strongest there. Searches by name work elsewhere too, but the depth of returned information varies by country.
How does billing work?
A full report requires a paid monthly plan. The price, renewal terms and cancellation control are shown before payment, the card is entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout rather than on Recordwell, and the charge appears as RECORDWELL.AI. Checking yourself and removing your own data stay free.
