Remove my information

Take your data out of Recordwell

Free, no account needed, and no upsell at the end. We remove you from search results and suppress the record so it does not come back the next time a source is refreshed.
  • no payment
  • suppression, not just hiding
  • email confirmation when required

We respect your right to control your data. Submit the form below and we will process your request. We may email you to verify your identity before removing information, to make sure we act on the right person's request.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, Recordwell automatically honors it for that browser by disabling optional analytics and advertising storage. You do not need to submit this form for the browser-level opt-out. Use the form when you want access, correction, or removal of a Recordwell result.

Step 01 of 02

Send a privacy request

Choose the request type and submit your details. Removal and review requests use an email link; do-not-sell-or-share is recorded immediately.

The code by SMS is not available yet. Removal, access, correction, and restriction requests use an email link; a do-not-sell-or-share request is recorded immediately and needs no identity verification. The disabled number field is not submitted or stored.
Another privacy request or extra details
For removal and review requests, by submitting you confirm the information is about you or that you're authorized to act on their behalf. For do-not-sell-or-share, we use the submitted name and email only to record and match the preference. See our Privacy Policy.

How removal works

  • We confirm your request and, if needed, verify your identity by email.
  • We block the matched identity from results, purge current searchable stores, and carry suppression into future index builds. Limited request, security, and legal records may remain.
  • Response deadlines depend on the request type and applicable law. Do-not-sell-or-share is recorded on submission; removal and review status links show dates and progress.

Important note about original sources

Recordwell organizes lawfully available or licensed information and open public web pages. Removing your data from Recordwell does not remove information published elsewhere, including by other data brokers, social networks, or independent websites. To reduce your exposure broadly, you may also need to contact those publishers directly.

What removal actually does

Removed from results

After a successful verified removal, the matched identity is blocked from Recordwell search results.

Suppressed, not just hidden

Suppression is checked before delivery and carried into future index builds so a source refresh does not republish the matched identity.

Other sites keep their copies

Information outside Recordwell remains under its publisher's control.

Original and source records may remain

We purge searchable Recordwell index copies. Original publishers and retained source corpus may still hold records, but suppression keeps the matched identity out of Recordwell results.

We do not display the records themselves here — that would turn a removal form into a free lookup.

Questions

How long does it take?

A successful removal confirmation blocks the matched identity from Recordwell results immediately. The status link tracks the separate purge of current searchable stores. Suppression also excludes the identity from future searchable indexes. Response deadlines depend on the request type and applicable law; a do-not-sell-or-share preference is recorded when submitted.

Do I need an account?

No. Removal and review requests ask for the full name, state or region, email, and confirmation that the request concerns you or a minor you represent. Optional details can help us locate the right listing. A do-not-sell-or-share request asks only for the name and email needed to record and match the preference, and does not require identity verification.

Will you keep anything after removal?

Yes. Suppression keys derived from the submitted name and email, plus a timestamp, remain so the identity stays out of future searchable indexes. A limited request record may retain the name, hashed email, request type, status, history, and dates for compliance, security, and dispute handling. Original publisher records and retained source-corpus rows may also remain outside searchable Recordwell results.

Can I remove someone else?

Use this route for your own information or for a minor whose parent or legal guardian you are. If you are acting under another legal authority, include that in the request or contact privacy support; we may ask only for information needed to validate that authority.

Does this remove me from Google?

No. Removing the listing here does not clear a search engine cache or anything published elsewhere; contact the publisher or search engine directly.

Is removal free?

Yes, permanently. Removal is never behind a payment, whatever a report costs.
